Long term studies recently indicated that the average cost of bringing up a child in the UK amounted to 193,000 pounds in total – equating to approximately 26-28 pounds per day. The news was greeted with a swathe of cynical retorts from long suffering parents almost unified in their total lack of surprise.
We learned at a very early age that isn’t nice to share- private jets are just a bigger toy to share! Fractional ownership allows each individual owner to have the benefit of having their own private jet, yet at a fraction of the upfront price and ongoing maintenance bills.
I recall when I used to sit at the back of the class thinking, “Please don’t let the teacher ask me to answer that last question!” It wasn’t because I couldn’t answer it, or at least have a go at answering it. But just like going on a TV quiz show, answering in front of an audience and on-time isn’t always as easy as it seems.
“Drive for show, putt for dough” is the lesson we’ve all seen and learned from watching the professional golfers in every tournament and championship either live or on TV.
Look at any Best Seller list in bookshops today, and it’ll be populated with autobiographies of the rich and famous. From glamour models to footballers to empire builders, they all have a different story to tell, but each has a common thread – they overcame adversity by focusing on the positives.
